I’m a mom of three children under the age of 11. We are busy and life can be hectic at times, but I would still love to come home to a clean house. Unfortunately, that is not usually the case…It has become the house joke that if we are really cleaning someone must be coming over! Yes, company is good for my house because it forces us to all clean up! However, I’ve found some products that really help make the cleaning easier!
My first great tip to clean your house is dusting with Swiffer Dry refills. I have a Swiffer and I use these on my Swiffer to sweep my laminate floor. It grabs dust not just crumbs like a regular broom would. I also use these refills just to dust. I grab one quick and can quickly go over a dusty surface like a coffee table or shelf and all the dust collects right in it! It saves me the time of having to find a dust rag and spray for dusting. Also, I can have my kids grab them and dust all over the house. I don’t have to worry that they are spraying too much, getting it in their eyes, or inhaling the fumes. I’ve tried a few other brands of dusting products but the Swiffer refills are my favorite by far! They also work really well on blinds!
My second great tip for cleaning your house is to use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. If you have never used one of these, you have to try them! They really work like magic! If you have scuff marks or marks on a table or wall, use this magic eraser on them and they will disappear! There are a few surfaces you have to be careful with. The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is not safe on all surfaces. If you are not sure, try it on a little corner where it won’t be noticeable. I’ve found this eraser to be wonderful to clean up kids’ permanent marker accidents, and shoe polish accidents, and I love it for scuff marks on the walls. Somehow with three kids, my walls never stay clean! This works so fast! You don’t have to scrub for hours trying to get marks out!
Great cleaning tip number three is using Bounty Advanced paper towels. These towels are so absorbent! They will tackle so many cleaning projects you may have as a family! I love them because you don’t have to take three trips to get more paper towels when the first one is soaked. Then the next one, and you finally have to go get another! My kids love to wash windows. I love that they enjoy this! We started using these because they can wash more than a 3 inch square before it’s soaked through and they need another! It really ends up saving us money because we don’t have to use so many for one task!
Great cleaning tip number four is Cascade Complete Action Pacs. This may seem like a silly tip but hear me out! There are several reasons this is our favorite dishwashing option! First of all it cleans our dishes the best! Our dishes come out of the dishwasher spotless and without food residue. Other brands have left us doing the dishes by hand anyways after running them through the dishwasher. That is not something I have time for! I also love these action pacs because my kids can load the dishwasher and turn it on. My kids make a mess trying to fill the dishwasher with liquid or powder dishwashing soaps. By using these, my kids know just what to do and they don’t have to worry about overfilling or under filling the soap!
My last great cleaning tip is Dawn Platinum Advanced Power dish soap. This dish soap works in seconds! It fights grease and stuck on food instantly. I don’t have to take time to soak my pans and dishes. I can fill up my sink with Dawn Platinum and put in the dishes. The food wipes right off by the time the sink is filled. I love time savers! I can get my dishes done and finished without waiting until the morning! Then I have time to work on any of my other tasks that day! Dawn also makes really great bubbles for playing with. I love to give my kids a bowl of Dawn with a little water and let them blow bubbles with a straw. It’s amazing how big the bubbles can get. If you add a little paint, you can make bubble pictures! They are super cool! The kids will be amazed!
